What Is A Professional Corporation Or Professional LLC?

PLLC is short for professional limited liability company

Professional corporations and professional limited liability companies (PLLC's) are corporations and limited liability companies that are organized for the purpose of providing professional services.

In some states, licensed professionals such as doctors, lawyers, and accountants must set up a "professional LLC (PLLC)" instead of a standard LLC.

Since these companies are established to provide a proffessional service rather than a product, some states requires the formation of a professional corporation or PLLC in such case.
