Part of New York LLC formation is that all New York LLCs must publish their organization's information in two local newspapers.
as posted on nolo.com:
"If you are forming an LLC in Arizona or New York, you must take an additional step to make your company official: You must publish in a local newspaper a simple notice stating that you intend to form an LLC. You are required to publish the notice several times over a period of weeks and then submit an "affidavit of publication" to the LLC filing office. Your local newspaper should be able to help you with this filing."

What do you write in the notice? what are you require to write in the ad about formation of LLC? Can it be in any local news papers?

RE: What do you write in the notice? The notice must contain certain language specified by law. Before you try to do this yourself, you might want to look into a service that takes care of the whole process. I've come across one that's run by lawyers, and after investigating the process, I found that they charge me less than if I were to do it myself. http://www.NewYorkLLCPublishing.com Highly recommended!
